The Riddet Institute brings its science to schools

maori success
For two weeks in July, members of the Food Innovation Team from Riddet Innovation visited Pūhoro STEM Academy schools and demonstrated and taught some interesting science experiments. These interactions are part of a Riddet Institute initiative to encourage school students to continue taking science. There is a lack of students taking STEM subjects to a higher level, resulting in a lack of highly qualified STEM-subject professionals. Our efforts are an attempt to show children the exciting side of science and encourage them to continue their studies to tertiary education.
