Professor Brent Young is a Chair in Food and Process Systems Engineering at the University of Auckland.  With Bachelors and PhD degrees in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Canterbury, he is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of both the IChemE and Engineering New Zealand.  Brent’s career includes prior academic appointments at the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Calgary.  Brent’s research, teaching and practice is focussed on digitalisation, modelling and control applied to development and optimisation of food and energy process systems.
