Dr Li Day is the Sector Manager – Food, Fibre and International at AgResearch, and leads AgResearch strategic partnerships with NZ and international collaborators in Food Science, Research, and Innovation. She has over 25 years of experience in food material physical biochemistry, food structure, processing and food for health, and has provided extensive research innovation advice and technology transfer to the global food companies. Her passion is to partner with Agri-food industry to bridge the gap between science discovery, innovation, and commercial applications.

She received her PhD from the University of Reading, UK, and previously worked for Campden BRI in UK and CSIRO in Australia. Currently, she also serves as the board member of the Bioresource Processing Alliance and Grasslanz Technology Ltd.
