Feed Our Future in New Zealand Science Review

The proceedings of the Riddet Institute’s Feed Our Future event have been published in the New Zealand Science Review. You can read the special here.

Feed Our Future was a dialogue event held in Wellington earlier this year. Stakeholders and decision makers came together for an accessible evidence-based discussion of the key global issues and the local decisions that we need to make to move towards a more sustainable food system. We explored the current conversation of sustainable food, bringing moderation and balance to what is often a debate of extremes. This dialogue inspired valuable conversations and put New Zealand at the front of the sustainable food systems debate.

The video recording of talks from our 10 speakers on the day can be viewed here. The NZSR special issue features papers from each of these speakers, as well as summaries of the audience discussion sessions collated by NZSR Guest Editor from the Riddet Institute, Dr Nick Smith. The event aligned with the work of the Riddet Institute’s Sustainable Nutrition Initiative, asking how the world will feed the world sustainably in the future.

Many thanks to our friends at the New Zealand Science Review for producing this special issue.
