Dr Kevin Davies

 Dr Davies is Team Leader Plant Pigments at Plant & Food Research. He haspublished in over 30 different journals and has active collaborations with researchers around the world, including University of Queensland, The John Innes Centre, The University of Bergen and South-West Forestry University, Yunnan.

The Plant Pigments Team conducts a wide variety of plant pigment research, ranging from fundamental studies of plant development through to developing new crop varieties with improved human-health characters.

Dr Davies is Associate Editor of The New Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science, and was the first person from outside Europe to be appointed to the board  of  of Groupe Polyphenols, one of the leading societies for phenylpropanoid research. He is currently Vice-President of the Board.
