New appointment to Riddet Institute Scientific Advisory Panel
Professor Daryl B Lund has been appointed as a member of the Riddet Institute Scientific Advisory Panel. Professor Lund, a professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States, has a global reputation in food science and engineering and is a fellow of the International Academy of Food Science and Technology.
He has also served on the staff of both Rutgers and Cornell universities and in leadership positions at the Institute of Food Technology (IFT). He is currently editor-in-chief of the Journal of Food Science.
Riddet Institute board chairman Dr Jim Watson said, “We are immensely proud to have Professor Lund on the Scientific Advisory Panel. His leadership qualities and his grasp on what is going on in international food science are hard to emulate.”
Professor Lund replaces Professor Peter Munro, who is now a Riddet Institute staff member and Fonterra Chair of Food Materials Science at Massey University. The other members of the panel are Professor Eric Dickinson of the University of Leeds and Professor Mark Wahlqvist of the National Health Research Institutes in Taiwan.
